The country’s best stand up comics in the heart of Birmingham. Comedy Cartel smuggles in the best acts from the nationwide comedy circuit and delivers them to you with a great atmosphere on a Saturday night.
***Your ticket includes free entry to Pryzm after the show***
We’re expert joke dealers and we’ll make sure your Saturday night out starts with laughs and a few drinks on Broad Street.
Our acts for this night include:
MC - Dustin Moore
Dustin is a South African born comedian who quit the corporate world in exchange for comedy.
He starred alongside world-class international comedians, such as Netflix's Tom Rhodes, in The Magners International Comedy festival 2018 who wrote, ‘Dustin has a unique high-energy, free-flowing style of comedy that fills the room with positivity and laughter.’
He is an emerging star in the comedy world and has already hosted and headlined shows in over 7 countries. In 2016 The Bangkok Comedy Fringe described him as ‘Hilarious comedian and a powerful force of positivity.’
James Cook
James Cook is a professional comedian based in Birmingham, with over 1,000 gigs worth of experience as an act and compere. He has performed two shows at the Edinburgh Fringe – Adventures on Air (the one about the radio) and Always Be Rolling (the one about board games). His act has been described as “truly original” (Danny Wallace (off of the telly)), whereas he’s been called “suave and chirpy” by that publishing powerhouse, the Bromsgrove Advertiser, and a “sarcastic raconteur” by the Leeds Metro. For some reason, this means that he has been likened to “the future Frank Skinner” (Birmingham Metro) and “Dylan Moran’s younger brother” (The Stage). How this is possible remains a mystery. James won a Jongleurs/Spike Milligan award for being the funniest person in the Midlands in 2003. It’s been ten years and they haven’t asked for it back, so he’s assuming it must still be him.
Luke Honnoraty
Luke’s comedy career began with a bang when he won Southwest New Act of the Year in 2010 - on his 3rd ever gig!
The North Devon Stand Up is a confident, engaging performer whose skilled story telling is sure to captivate any crowd and which has ensured he continues to be the main stage MC for Oceanfest and the MC for the comedy stage at Boardmasters Festival.
Luke's observational comedy which focuses on parenting and relationships, is always delivered with a cheeky but charismatic style, and made him Katherine Ryan’s choice of tour support for her UK tour. He then went on to support Joel Dommet’s tour in 2017 and and Lloyd Griffith on this UK tour 2017, 2018 and 2019.
A truly natural and gifted comedian and Presenter of the Comedy Special for BBC Radio Devon, Luke makes you feel most comfortable talking about the most uncomfortable subjects; the way in which he communicates such topics whilst making you fall further in love with his boyish charm is all part of the Honnoraty experience.
So come down and start your big Saturday night out in the best way possible - in the company of the funniest acts in the country.
