Event information

Another fabulous storytelling concert from the National Jazz Archive, we're pleased to present the story of local-boy-done-good Dudley Moore.

Famed for his phenomenal radio, TV and Hollywood film career, Moore was a classically trained pianist from Dagenham who discovered and performed jazz at almost every opportunity.

At this, our next National Jazz Archive fundraising gig, we welcome huge Dudley Moore fan, phenomenal pianist and superb jazz storyteller, Nick Tomalin and his E17 Jazz Trio to tell the incredible story of one of the UK's favourite stars and his musical journey from Essex* to the Hollywood Hills!

Nick is supported by one of the UK's most in demand bassists Dave Manington and top-notch drummer Marek Dorcik all of whom are key members of E17 Jazzone of London's premier jazz collectives based in Walthamstow, East London

(*Dagenham used to be in Essex !)
