We are thrilled that Jack has asked to return to The Haven Club, we love him and he always brings a fab show. “I am beyond excited to hit the road with my power trio,” says Jack, “We’ve been busy in the studio working on the next album and this will be the first opportunity for people to hear the new tracks. The run will feature a return to some of my favourite venues, plus some exciting festival appearances. We’ll be giving it everything we’ve got!” Taking to the road, Jack’s three-piece band, consisting of Jack J Hutchinson himself (vocals, guitar), Phil Wilson (drums) and Charlie Rachel Kay (bass), will be performing tracks from across Hutchinson’s rich catalogue. Jack has accolades from many parts of the music industry - Planet Rock have praised “Jack’s gritty, honest take on blues rock [which] comes with a flourish of biker steel”, whilst Guitarist Magazine were impressed by how “Growling vocals combine with raunch ‘n’ roll acoustic and electric guitars.

We have a young guitarist George Boydon, who now traditionally gets up and jams with Jack. Both Jack and Haven Club like to encourage young musicians and it is very kind of Jack to use some of his stage time to include George. Now, we needed a band to open and it turns out that George is in a band - Young Rocks! Well, they are young and they do certainly rock! Young Rocks are an exciting and exceptionally talented group of Oxfordshire musicians aged 15-17yrs. They first formed in 2019, when some of them were as young as 10yrs old, to perform at Music in the Park in Thame. Since then they have played a number of local festivals and events, headlining the evolution stage at Beacon festival in 2022. Last month they played Bunkfest so honing their stage and musical skills.
They play their own take on a mixture of classic rock and pop covers, as well as beginning to write and perform their own original material. So, come early, they are onstage at 7.30.
