Excited to be bringing Sly & the Family Drone to Oxford! Will be a special and extremely noisy show at Common Ground - Sly play in the round, in the centre of the room, and audience participation is a key part, so come get involved!

For the uninitiated Sly & The Family Drone offer an extreme experience of catastrophic electronic density, primitive analogue origins perverted via intense manipulation and exaggeration. They appreciate doubled power, boasting two drummers and two electronicists—but only one baritone saxophonist, which may well be sufficient. They play loud, they improvise heartily, and they always vote for performing in the round, preferably directly rooted to the floor, no stage allowed, and unavoidably surrounded by their acolytes in deep noise appreciation.

Supporting we'll have the excellent DEADPOP - fast, hard hitting & riff heavy bass/drums sludge rock duo from London, with skewed pop samples, wailing vocals and churning rhythms.

And opening we'll have local experimental noise crew Unman! CAN'T WAIT!

The gig is all ages, with under 18s accompanied by an adult, though be sure to bring ear protection (we will have some if you need it). The venue is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible bathroom. Free carer tickets are available, let us know,
