Saturday 15 July 1pm – 4pm
Martin Glover, a deaf BSL user, architect and art facilitator will take you on a BSL tour of the exhibition followed by a creative workshop. Across the UK, Martin delivers tours and workshops where he explores the themes of Contemporary Art, Architecture and Street Art, and Public Art and Sculpture. He engages his audience to ensure his events are lively and interesting. He continues to champion better Visual Art access nationally. As “Gloverman” he creates artwork using his unique sign language calligraphy style and BSL forms.

The exhibition, Creative Connections, is a collaboration between Southampton City Art Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, artist Pete Codling and Cantell School. It tells stories of the city through portraits; old and new.

No prior knowledge of the exhibition or art experience will be necessary to enjoy this event, but you will need to be a BSL user to access it.
