Hot Indie Pop Summer Tour
Fortitude Valley
Fortitude Valley is the brainchild of Laura Kovic, taking influence from the likes of Weezer, Belle & Sebastian, The Beths, The Weakerthans and Pavement. What results is a ludicrously addictive cocktail of heartstopping indie-punk-powerpop melody and a collection of songs that'll take up residence in your cerebellum and never leave. Their debut album was released on Fika Recordings in 2021 and they are currently working on their second.

adults
adults are a noisy diy pop band singing silly, joyful, occasionally sad songs looking back at the tail end of their 20s, a way to grapple with breakups, parties, alcohol and loneliness, and looking hopefully into the future. They’ve released singles with Art Is Hard and For The Sakes Of Tapes, and self released an EP (The Weekend Was Always Almost Over), which was subsequently released on vinyl by Caballito records. Their debut album came out on Fika Recordings late 2022 ! They’re based in south London.

Mt Misery
Hartlepool’s Mt. Misery released their debut album 'Once Home, No Longer' via Prefect Records (Ex-Void, The Tubs) in summer 2021, alongside a long since sold-out limited edition Rough Trade Exclusive LP. A new EP featuring the single ‘Spinning Top’ was released in 2022. The band are currently recording a new album. Prefect Records label head Mark Dobson (The Field Mice): “I wasn’t looking for a ‘token’ band from the same town as me, they could have been from anywhere in the world and I would still want to put their album out. I could hear elements of The Field Mice and a couple of other Sarah Records bands in there, but also early Belle and Sebastian and peak period Teenage Fanclub - to be honest, it sounds like loads of bands I like, but without really sounding specifically like any of them."
