MUSIC
- Horla
An immersive journey through images and music like no other, exploring all aspects of the human psyche - from fears and repulsion to the most beautiful moments created by the human mind.
It will be like experiencing a soundtrack created on the spot and as itʼs improvised , every instalment is always different from the last.
With strong influences from the 70s/80s Horror and B-movies , expect vintage sounds and images which will trigger a nostalgic trip to the glory days of this genre.
- "Ghost Emma"
Journey into the ethereal world of "Ghost Emma", where souls intertwine in a perilous dance of fate and choice. Delve into a soundscape crafted by Mid Sussex Radio's Ben Featherstone, whose analogue compositions feature some of the finest string players in the world and mastered by the legendary hands at Abbey Road Studios in London. As the heart-wrenching narrative unfolds, witness a mesmerising animated tableau that paints a poignant tale of a woman who, in her quest for unparalleled passion, seals a treacherous pact: she must never touch her dance partner, or they risk ensnaring their very souls...
This evocative performance, an orchestration of music and narration, is set to make its debut at the iconic Rose Hill Tavern in Brighton. For those familiar with the echoes of the contemporary music scene, Ben Featherstone's is known for sharing stages with the likes of The Libertines, Adele, I am Kloot, Jools Holland and has composed music that has powered major advertising campaigns worldwide, most recently one of his compositions was used in Netflix's Cobra Kai.
Ben now invites you to experience a tale as timeless as the soul and as profound as love's sacrifices. Join us, and lose yourself in the tale of "Ghost Emma".
- Baby Hair
BABY HAIR live performances are communal “happenings”, and magic rituals. They use costumes and synchronised dance, symbolic and spiritual gesture, and props to open portals to other dimensions, scattering dust, feathers and flower petals, and chalking the floors. Their first ever live show was described as being “beautiful” and “important” in THE WIRE magazine.
ART
Bambi Goodman
is an artist from Brighton She currently lives in Worthing.
"My work is primarily based in traditional
mediums, with focus on figure, narrative and
perhaps impropriety. I depict women, nature
and animals, love, heartbreak, sex and humour.
I paint on large canvases, bit of paper, cardboard, whatever. I draw with paint, brush pens, posca markers. Bold marks, rude strokes and delicateness.
I haveexhibited in show in museums and galleries locally, aswellasin LondonandTokyo.
Iam interested primarily in lives pleasures, as I have suffered from depression since Iwasa teenagerand it is a real drag.
My current practice involves many contradtions. Piss and caravaggio, Bob Dylan and hentai.
I have been accused of all kinds of things, from sexism togratuitytosatanismbutwhatImakehasonlythe intention ofsaying hello. 9
These paintings were all made within the last couple of years, in Bambi's living room.
Caylon La Mantia
Caylon’s work is the time she gives to herself to sit down and do something she truly loves. That time is rare. The paintings are the result. There is no greater meaning to the work other than a quest for and celebration of beauty in every aspect of life. This particular series explores a world which came to light through a sequence of recurring dreams, repeating and connecting to each other over many years, revealing characters and narrative that culminated in a complete story during a period of 28 days solitary hiking the kunglseden trail in Swedish Lapland.
