I saw Alistair for the first time earlier this year at the Courtyard Cafe and I was utterly blown away! We just had to have him back again here in Sheffield
Alistair Griffin is a well-established Singer-Songwriter from York. If you cast your mind back around 20 years you may remember him from the BBC’s Fame Academy where he was championed by Bee Gee, Robin Gibb before coming second in the 2003 final. After two Top 20 singles and a Top 20 album he went on to tour Europe with Robin, and last year, released a song, “Forever Today”, written with the late star, which became a Top 5 hit on iTunes. https://youtu.be/zDt4BsQdJYY
Alistair is probably best known for his sporting anthems, with several of his songs used to montage great sporting and social events in the UK, including…
• “The Road” with Girls Aloud star, Kimberley Walsh - the Official song of the 2014 Tour De France. https://youtu.be/CnxiRt4qeM4
• “I Wish For You The World” - the Official song for the 2012 London Olympics, sung with The Games Maker Choir.
• And his hit song “Just Drive” which was the title song for Sky Sports F1 coverage from 2012 to 2018.
