Adapted from Devina Symes' novel set in wartime Dorset and 2005, the story straddles two points in the lives of Peter and Ella. A devastating event in 1942 threaten to tear them apart - is the thread of family love strong enough to keep them together? In 2005, they look back as they attend a rehearsal of their story in dramatic form. Intriguing and touching in equal parts, the audience is drawn into their lives on the cusp of a vanishing world.
