Richard Smith is unstoppable!
The brilliant fingerstyle guitarist undertakes a hectic touring schedule. He maintains a busy Nashville studio that has recently been adapted into a video studio. He provides online music lessons and myriad other projects.
So we are absolutely delighted that we have been able to take advantage of Richard's current UK tour and bring him to the intimate atmosphere of the intimate, award-winning Bijou Cinema, here in Southport.
So please come and enjoy an evening with a true world-class guitarist.
Richard Smith's ever-growing repertoire comprises a wide variety of music from classical Bach to Beatles pop.
It includes Scott Joplin Rags, Sousa marches, Chopin and Mozart, fiddle tunes, and jazz standards; plus Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed classics, and Django Reinhardt gypsy swing.
We must not forget Richard's wonderful original compositions with lightning-fast barn-burners and beautiful ballads, occasionally spiced with vocals.
What the great players say about Richard:
"The most amazing guy I know on the guitar. He can play anything I know, only better."
Chet Atkins, CGP (music legend)
"If you like my playing, you should hear Richard Smith! The world champion!"
Tommy Emmanuel, CGP (two-time Grammy nominee)
"Guitar playing at its finest. Don?t miss this one."

"He is one of the world?s greatest guitarists."
