Our eleventh DIY day-long gathering at FirebugL
LANDE HEKT
Once (and again) of DIY punks Muncie Girls and having previously been to Leicester for both Handmade and as Grace Petrie's support at Athena, Hekt's two solo albums are perfectly formed alt-pop born of honest candid soul bearing. We're very excited that the recent Beths tour support is headlining our next day out.
TRUST FUND
Nine years on from his previous Alldayer appearance, Ellis Jones' reactivated vehicle for melancholia and personal reckonings has in 2023 seen him release a string of excellent tracks and support Mitski on her UK tour.
MAMMOTH PENGUINS
Since their last visit the ever welcome melodic pop-side-of-punk-pop Cambridge-based trio have released two albums, have another on the way soon and supported the revived Allo Darlin'.
GET WRONG
Adam Todd and Naomi Griffin have both been to the Alldayer twice before - in fact 2024 will be ten years since the Spook School and Martha both played - so we had to bring then back for their retro synthpop project, releasing their debut EP in December.
PANIC POCKET
Five years since Sophie and Natalie brought their spindly, synthy, sarky and honest songs this way and had to borrow a chair as keyboard stand. Now they have a full band and an acclaimed album, Mad Half Hour, on Amelia Fletcher's Skep Wax label.
MURDER CLUB
Your new favourite Welsh band? Newport's "quiet girls of Riot Grrrl" supported the Wedding Present on tour in 2022 and are soon to follow up that year's synthy jangle-adjacent pop bomb Sour Candy EP.
VIRGINIA'S WOLVES
The local all-female bands that Alldayer heroine Ruth Miller brought together in the Unglamorous collective will be her legacy, such as these spirited garage-punk commentaries on modern life for older women.
VOM VORTON
Former leader of Lardpony among many other Derby bands returns to the Alldayer and brings back the live side of his prolific songwriting.
