The Line up

Alan Bonner
ALAN BONNER - Singer, Songwriter, BalladeerAlan Bonner is a singer-songwriter based in London. After leaving his small village in Suffolk for the bright lights of London at 18, he's spent the past few years writing, recording and playing at venues across the UK and Europe, all the while writing lyrics on beer mats and bashing out chords on a beaten Piano.Since graduating from the Brighton Institute of Modern Music in 2007, Alan's emotionally-charged live shows have left audiences stunned, not only by the intensity of his performances and quality of his vocals, but by the honesty and confessional nature of his songs. Having supported acts such as FYFE DANGERFEILD, DAVID FORD, IN ME, GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY, and SONS OF NOEL AND ADRIAN, he has built up a loyal following and has played at festivals throughout the UK including OXJAM, GLOBAL GATHERING and BRIGHTON LIVE

.Alan Bonner came to create a sort of poetic oasis amongst the more vivacious and aggressive guitar-based bands. His music was an onomatopoeic melange of sounds, where the melodic piano meets the melancholic cello and the softly-stroked guitar.

All instruments were then embraced by Alan's gritty yet mellifluous vocals and the sound of it was interesting. Pieces like Narcissist's Wet Dream and Talia stood out as possible singles, both reminiscent of Tori Amos' evocative airs and with decadent themes " la Bowie." Alex Seel
Music has led Alex Seel from Devon to London to Ireland and back to London again. Through his wanderings, Alex has picked up a beautifully crafted, warm, rootsy song-writing style with thought-provoking, subtle lyrics and a gift for acoustic guitar finger-picking.

While promoting his album 'Shifting Sands' in 2013 he supported Graham Parker in Italy.

In 2015 Alex released his critically acclaimed ‘Other Paths EP’ that leaned more towards social commentary.

His newest release (2017) is the 'Circles EP' has also been well received by press and local radio. It features the songs “Poor Boy” and “Broken Faucet” played on various regional BBC shows and BBC 6 Music.
He continues to share his music around the UK and Ireland.

"...mastery of fingerpicking techniques and a repertoire of unusual chords; a fine poet with a very personal vocal style" - Rolling Stone
