Talk by Dermot Barnes.
Dermot's talk will cover the essentials of how to set about improving the energy efficiency of a flat or house - where to start, what to prioritise, the best value interventions and how to navigate the complexities.
The talk and questions will be from 7.30pm to 8.30pm and there will be a chance to continue discussion and questions afterwards over refreshments.
Dermot is the Head of Sustainability at City, University of London, where he is leading on decarbonisation and broader sustainability initiatives linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). As well as running a Design and Build contracting company delivering more than 600 energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, he has also worked in the Consultancy and Public sectors where he was responsible for designing and delivering net zero solutions for clients across the built environment. He holds an MSc in Sustainable Resources, Economy Policy and Transitions from UCL Bartlett and is a BREEAM and PAS 2035 qualified Retrofit Assessor.
The talk will be in person but will also be livestreamed. The link for livestreaming will be sent to all ticket holders the day before the event.
