Sad House Daddy is excited to present the return of Smokey Angle Shades after an absence of 15 years! Performing their brand new album ‘Let Go Of The Past’ in its entirety live at London’s Servant Jazz Quarters.
Smokey Angle Shades are Pat Dam Smyth and Nipsy Russell from Northern Ireland, Ned Crowther from England and Antonio Feola from Italy. The group was formed when members of The Fools, 747s, Pat Dam Smyth and The Fernweh joined forces in Berlin for a week of shows and songwriting that laid out the blueprints for their future sound: an appreciation of '60s & '70s songcraft and blended vocal harmonies. With their authentic rock 'n' roll approach the band continued to write new music and tour the UK, Europe and America, building a mythical and cult following. The band’s debut album, ‘Shades Of Joy’ was released in 2015 to wide acclaim and was selected by Cerys Matthew’s as her BBC 6 music artist pick. The group returned on April 7th 2023 with the single ‘And You Tied A Ribbon On It’, released on their own record label, Europa Sun. Follow-up singles ‘A Star Called Youth’ and ‘15 Years’ were released in May and June respectively ahead of their upcoming new album ‘Let Go Of The Past’, due for release on Friday September 29th 2023.
