We are so excited to announce that on October 14th seed. will be playing a very special show at 450 Peckham levels with support from Amy Gadiaga and Social Records Society DJs.

Formerly know as SEED Ensemble, seed. is a Mercury Award nominated ten-piece band led by alto saxophonist and composer Cassie Kinoshi.

The band presents a stellar line-up featuring some of London’s most up-and-coming young jazz musicians. West African and Caribbean influenced groove, seed. explores a blend of genres through original compositions and improvisation. Their debut release Driftglass (Jazz Re:freshed, 2019) features the track Afronaut (feat. XANA) which won the Ivors Academy Award 2018 (formerly known as BASCA, British Composer Award) for Jazz Composition for Large Ensemble.

Amy (pronounced AH-MI) Gadiaga is bassist,vocalist and composer and dancer from Paris based in London. She graduated from Trinity Labans Conservatoire of music and Dance where she studied double bass and won several distinctions including a prize from the Royal Philharmonic Society and nominated this year for Jazz new comer of the year by the Parliamentary Jazz awards. Connecting the old school jazz tradition of musicians such as Betty Carter or Wayne Shorter with her own style, Amy offers performances that celebrates artistry and freedom.

Social Records Society is a community of true vinyl lovers, party-organisers & artists based in South-East London. They host record only nights with one aim, to get people dancing. Expect the unexpected when delving into their record collection which range across far-reaching genres & cultures. We'll be joined throughout the night by Disco Fucks a key Social Records resident.
