Join us for a fabulous evening of folk dance and music from two beloved groups performing in their hometown of Norwich!
Xim
Featuring melodeon, hurdy gurdy, flute and bass, Xim implant rhythm and groove into all their music, filling dance floors with the grooviest smiliest dancers you'll ever have had the pleasure of being amongst. Shaped by the traditional dance music of central France and their own influences, Xim's original tunes complement a dynamic and exciting range of new material perfect for concerts, French style 'Bal-folk' and traditional Ceilidhs.
The Two Nicks
Nick Wiseman-Ellis and Nic Zuppardi met on the Newcastle degree in Folk and Traditional Music, and have spent the subsequent ten years performing together at festivals and dance halls across Slovenia, Sweden, Germany, and the UK. Their music is rooted in distinctive and driving interpretations of traditional European dance tunes, alongside a captivating repertoire of self-penned compositions inspired by folk dance from Brittany, France, Sweden and the British Isles.
