Event information
Following the success of our Burn's Night Ceilidh in January and Easter Ceilidh in April we're throwing one last dance before the year is out and celebrating St Andrew's Day. Alex Burgar and the Moonaroon Ceilidh Band run the show this time around with another wild night of fabulous fiddles, electrifying accordions and amazing calls that will get any dancer (whether a beginner or a veteran barn dancer) spinning and cheering on the dancefloor!
Alex Burgar (Caller)
Comedian and Caller, Alex Burgar is well known in Oxford for hosting regular night Funny Peculiar at Oxford’s Jolly Farmers, is part of comedy collective Undercover Comedy. Her show, Burgarmeister, was shortlisted for the 2023 Lamb Comedy Productions Queer Comedy Award at the Brighton Fringe and she's been described as 'charmingly hilarious' and 'delightfully funny' at the recent Camden Fringe. Moonaroon Ceilidh Band
Lively traditional and folk music from Britain and Ireland, featuring Josh Newman, Mitch Keeley and Jack Evans. You might know the band from the Half Moon, the Star or the Harcourt Arms!
