The Skapones – now celebrating their eleventh year of giving their eager audience a reet skanking pleasure… a ska band who play hard-hitting and exceedingly sassy Specials, Beat influenced originals as well as occasional classics and left of centre enigmatic covers…a punky reggae tease all the way from..The Tees… as in Tyne Tees, these effortlessly Bonny Lads are leading lights in the Specialized Project, a wonderful phenomenon that raises money for Teenage cancer Trust & Youth Music UK, a subject which we know is very close to frontman Paul Willo’s big heart.
Big heart, big talent… check out the ace Skapones versions of ‘ Police On My Back’ (on Combat cancer- A tribute to The Clash), also their ‘Midnight Ravers’ (One Heart – A tribute to Bob Marley) and ‘Smithers Jones’ (2017 Specialized tribute to The Jam.).
Support this band and their good works and have a brilliant night out in the Ancestral Seat Of British Ska into the bargain.
The Decatonics are an established 8 piece female fronted ska band from Dorset comprising two singers, an energetic back line and a powerful horn section. Their set draws from the Ska, Trojan, Rocksteady, 2Tone, Soul, Reggae & Bluebeat genres and the vibrant live show has built up a great reputation for its high energy party atmosphere.
We Got Killers – will be playing ska, reggae, soul, punk and indie bangers between the bands and til the wee hours afterwards for your dancing delectation.
