In English Food, we enter a journey through the centuries looking at the development of recipes and of the rituals for mealtimes. We see how food has been a reflection of and an inspiration for social change. Your meals and eating habits will never be the same again.
Diane Purkiss is Professor of English Literature at the University of Oxford and a fellow of Keble College. Her other books include The Witch in History.
