John Richards has been writing, and people have covered his songs, for nearly fifty years now. Robin Dransfield, Paul Downes and Phil Beer, Fairport Convention, Show of Hands, Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar, and Mike Silver have all recorded John’s songs over the years. He released a new CD not long before lockdown and finally has the chance to share some of the new songs. This line up has the wonderful vocals of John’s daughter Emma, the excellent fiddle and vocals of Emily Sanders and the outstanding musicianship of Jim Sutton on Double Bass and Keyboards with a collection of John’s songs old and new that you will probably be humming for days after the gig.
