On Friday 29th we see our first line up……
Opening act is Tony Burgess - an award winning stand-up comedian, comedy writer and actor.
As well as performing stand-up all over the UK for over 25 years – he’s also written sitcoms for the BBC, plays for The Royal Exchange Theatre and written for many big name comedians such as Steve Coogan, John Bishop, and Johnny Vegas.
You may recognise Tony from his role in the cult BBC3 comedy Ideal where he played DJ Troy.
He wrote on the first two series of Ideal, co-wrote Sony Award winning Radio 4 comedy The Nightclass with Johnny Vegas and penned his own seven part BBC sitcom The Visit, which played to much acclaim on both BBC3 and BBC1.

The middle act is Sarah Louise Keegan who has performed across the UK including the Opera House Winter Gardens, The Frog and Bucket, The Comedy Store, The Richmond Theatre alongside Jo Brand and Adam Hills, and with the wonderful Peter Kay in Bolton.
She loves a good sing along, so be ready to get involved - rhythm and harmony welcome.

Headlining the night is the incredible Smug Roberts – who continues to headline at all the major comedy clubs as well as being a star of TV, film, and radio.
Smug’s acting credits include the hugely popular BAFTA award winning TV shows Coronation Street, Mrs Brown’s Boys, Buried, Cold Feet, Phoenix Nights and the films Looking For Eric and 24-Hour Party People.
He’s also the man behind musical masterpiece Grandad Roberts and His Son Elvis: Meat Pie, Sausage Roll.
Smug is fondly known on the North West circuit as the Godfather of Comedy - a man who has the Midas touch and a certain genius for understanding what makes memorable comedy, the anecdotes, the delivery, the humour, and the succinct killer lines delivered with such aplomb that make even the most austere person roar with laughter.

The MC for the night is quick-fire gag merchant Ben Turner - a World One Liner Championship and Comedy Cellar Yorkshire New Act of the Year finalist who has racked up 3m views on Facebook Reels and was included in the Daily Telegraph and The Poke’s funniest jokes of lockdown.
