Joni, Sandy & me – An Evening with Sally Barker

In the show, Joni, Sandy & Me, Sally Barker explores the legacy of both Joni Mitchell
and Sandy Denny while discussing their lives and the challenges they faced as
trailblazing singer/songwriters in the 1960s and & 70s. Sir Tom Jones, finalist on The
Voice UK 2014, Sally sings her own songs alongside Joni and Sandy's classics.

Sally was a founding member of revered fem-folksters The Poozies and a member of
folk-rock's reformed Fotheringay (now re-named The Sandy Denny Project) and has
also supported Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Sir Tom amongst other headliners during
30+ years as a fiercely independent artist.

Despite her flirtation with mainstream entertainment on The Voice, Sally's musical life remains firmly rooted in acoustic and
folk music.

Sally's re-imagining of the Tom Jones song It's Not Unusual, to celebrate the
venerable singer's 80 th Birthday, has so far racked up over 4 million views on YouTube
dividing opinion amongst fans of the Welshman's classic.

Sally continues to work with American tap/slap guitarist Vicki Genfan; their debut duo album Under The Shadow of
a Small Mountain, was released in 2017 and a new album will appear Spring 2024.
