Old friends James (Topette!!, Mawkin) & Saul (Faustus, Eliza Carthy) are known for their warmth and exquisitely delivered traditional tunes and songs. With a nod towards their enduring friendship, these two fine musicians and ‘masters of their craft’ (FATEA Records) celebrated their recent reunion with a new record in November, aptly entitled ‘Kith & Kin’. The duo intertwine seamlessly; dancing around the tunes between the notes, finding space and air, and breathing fresh energy into the music.

The new record from this reunited pair of uber-experienced folk musicians, came out in November 2023. Kith and Kin (the title a nod towards their own enduring friendship and expanding families) is a collection of the favourite tunes and songs from their ‘perfectly balanced’ live set. With the timeless combination of fiddle and box, James and Saul have been making music together for a long time now and re-launch their live act after time focusing energies on their young families. Born out of friendship, the duo intertwine seamlessly; dancing around the tunes between the notes, finding space and air breathing life into the music they create together.
