The Bathers will be performing a FRETS: ALBUM CONCERT show at the Strathaven Hotel on Friday March 22nd 2024. The group will be performing a stripped-back concert of their classic 'Kelvingrove Baby' album, released in 1997 on the Marina label. The album continues to resonate on many levels, the Bathers live in concert is an unforgetable emotional experience.
The Bathers have recently received considerable plaudits for their first album in a long, long time - 'Sirenesque' - released on the Last Night From Glasgow label. This has resulted in an upsurge of recognition regarding how special the group is, particularly in concert. The intimate environment of the Strathaven Hotel is perfect for seeing the Bathers at close quarters.
Chris Thomson formed the Bathers on the demise of his previous group, Friends Again, releasing the debut Bathers album 'Unusual Places To Die' in 1987.
