Event information

Very excited for this stacked megabill! The stars have aligned for this Friday night, with three ace bands - Really Big, Really Clever, Witching Waves, and Secret Rivals! Will be a killer night!

Really Big, Really Clever

Really Big Really Clever is the new project from Jared Tomkins and Jordan Lilford, formed in 2022 after the split of their previous band Gender Roles. After years of touring, writing & recording together, the pair wasted no time in writing and recording their to-be-titled debut album at London's The Bookhouse Studio with producer Tom Hill. Expect chaotic fast-paced guitar bangers about doubt, uncertainty and self-help. The band performs live as a 4 piece with good friends Sam Perkins (drums) and Chris Childs (bass).

Witching Waves

DIY indie/post/punk incrediband, performing as an extremely exciting 4-piece, including core members Emma Wigham and Mark Jasper, with recent recruit Will Fitzpatrick from Good Grief AND classic era bassist Estella Adeyeri returning to the lineup! The band’s new LP is a blistering advancement of the knife-sharp hooks and urgently efficient post-punk structures that they’ve spent over a decade refining since their formation in 2011.

Secret Rivals

After a decade-long hiatus, Secret Rivals has roared back onto the music scene with 'Anxiety' released in September 2023, This release received rave reviews and solidified their reputation as a band to watch with 6music describing their sound as "an angular pop onslaught," and Nightshift Magazine drawing comparisons to Bis and The Breeders. The track gained significant airplay on Steve Lamacq's show on BBC 6Music as well as plays on BBC introducing South East. Check out their new song Neck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy7H_5mMd9k

This gig is all ages, with under 14s accompanied by an adult, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
