terrace cred. presents:
Sam Carter, 'the finest English-style fingerpicking guitarist of his generation' (Jon Boden) with a ‘killer voice’ (Ivor Novello- winning musician Nitin Sawhney) returns with his fifth studio album and a prized few solo showcase dates supporting the release. We snapped him up for a Brighton date.
Over the course of his fifteen-year career, Sam has earned a reputation for vivid, narrative-driven songwriting 'as penetrating as Richard Thompson’s best work' (Uncut) and as a highly regarded instrumentalist.
Sam's impressive back catalogue and captivating live shows attest to his ability to bring together a diverse set of influences from English folksong and American shapenote singing through to hard rock. Sam has made appearances on national TV, won a BBC Folk Award, and has toured the world, sharing stages with many of folk’s leading lights.
A chance to catch him in an intimate setting, prior to a band outing later in the year (and we're poised to fix that one, too, if we can...).

Opening tonight is a rare treasure - a solo performance from a tried and tested member of Brighton's fabled Mountain Firework Company.
Rian Marx has just released a fresh solo album 'Under The Ice'. He was also a crucial member of The Blue Hearts and you may well be very familiar with him as... er, no. we'll not say., but, as he points out, 'there were just too many BP’s on the music platforms so I had to re-brand myself'...
