MEESHA GARBETT - BELFAST DANCE WORKSHOP + Q&A - Calling all young Matilda fans and dance enthusiasts - the Red Beret Girl is here to teach you in person! Join us for an enchanting and empowering experience at the 'Red Beret Girl' Dance Workshop. Come and learn the famous dance routine from Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical! Film your routine and ask questions about the industry!

MEESHA GARBETT - 15 year old Meesha Garbett is the incredible dancing sensation known for her show stopping role of Hortensia aka “ THE RED BERET GIRL” in 2023’s Matilda the Musical film.

Her dance went viral with millions of views on social media, taking the internet by storm, making producers sit up and take notice of this incredible new phenomenon.

Meesha is also a two-time world and SEVEN (yes seven) time British Street Dance Champion and also a two time British Contemporary Champion.

Showing off her talents dancing onstage at the tender age of 8 in front of 70,000 people for Justin Bieber, Meesha has also appeared in music videos, and danced the Nutcracker Ballet at the Royal Albert Hall. All this, and she still finds time to teach Street Dance all over the UK, including teaching at the world’s largest dance event at the London Excel centre.

She has appeared in several other films, and 2024 will see two new releases, with a lead role in thriller HUSH NOW, and a role in the new WICKED film alongside Ariana Grande.

Not only an actress and dancer, Meesha also sings (a triple threat!)and was part of the Junior 2022 UK Eurovision Song Contest as a singer and dancer, she also sings on three songs on the Matilda the Musical soundtrack.
