Around The World In 80 Minutes

Folksinger Sam Brothers (UK) and Daniel Del Valle of the Indie-Folk band Sleepwalkers Station (Germany/Italy) met while performing at the Gwangju Busking World Cup Finals 2023, held in South Korea. Bonding over a love of folk music, travel and world cuisine, the two quickly became friends and “Around The World In 80 Minutes” was born.

The show is a folk music odyssey taking you on a journey through over 10 different countries and every continent on earth, based on both musicians' experiences of performing across the world.
Daniel being fluent in 5 different languages brings his linguistic and songwriting skills to the mix, while Sam brings an array of exotic instruments including a Chinese hulusi pipe, the Irish harp, harmonica, as well as his own songwriting abilities.

Expect to hear stories of playing on stage with Van Morrison, crossing the Atlantic on a sailing boat, learning to play the balofon in West Africa, performing at Glastonbury & The Isle Of Wight Festival , Singing with the Tuareg people in the Sahara Desert, busking near the North Korean border and meeting everyone from Dave Gilmour to Ennio Morricone.

Rosslyn Court
Expect a small, seated, friendly, quirky venue with a heart - a bar selling beer, wine, cider and hot and cold drinks -nibbly stuff and always a cake. The venue is accessible, on one level. You will be seated at tables or in rows, according to numbers in the audience.
The first hour of concerts is livestreamed on YouTube. You can watch it any time after 7.30 on the night of the concert via the Rosslyn Court Website. There is an exclusive second set for the audience in the room, including a Q&A with the performers. We ask you to make a donation when you watch the livestream to help us to continue this service.
In buying a ticket you are entered for the Rosslyn Court raffle. You may win a CD or a “Who Gives A Crap” emergency toilet roll. WGAC donate half their profits to water charities and are plastic free.
There is usually a floor singer and often a 2-minute community slot informing us of what happens locally. The second half starts with a Q&A and is not livestreamed. If you think of something you want to know more about in the first half, just ask! Sometimes there is another floor song.
The concerts usually finish before 10.
