A night of traditional Kurdish music and a Kurdish Newroz celebration at Jamboree with the brilliant Suna Alan and guest Mir Serhed! Dress in your most vibrant colors and bring your scarves for the Govend, the lively Kurdish dance!

Suna Alan is a Kurdish singer based in London. She grew up in traditional Kurdish dengbêj (*bard) music and a rich cosmopolitan cultural environment in Izmir, Turkey. Although her main focus remains Kurdish folk songs, her repertoire also includes Armenian, Greek, Arabic, Sephardic and Turkish songs.

In support, Kurdish singer Mîr Serhed, born in the mountainous village of Bingol and now residing in London, possesses an exceptional voice. He specializes in performing traditional Kurdish dengbêj (bard) music and govend (Kurdish folk dance) performances.
