Night River Presents: Ida Wenøe & Samantha Whates
A magically intimate micro concert featuring Ida Wenøe & Samantha Whates, hosted by DG Solaris.
Ida Wenøe, 2021 Danish Music Awards winner, has an appreciation for Americana but her own brand of Nordic-noir is laced with English folk undertones. After three critically acclaimed albums with respected indie labels, Ida has enjoyed support on across all the BBC radio stations.
Scottish singer-songwriter Samantha Whates is a hugely respected figure on the folk & roots scene and has enjoyed both critical acclaim and extensive radio play on the likes of BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2 & KCRW.
Though touring as separate co-headliners, the pair regularly collaborate and join each other on stage to perform new arrangements for each other’s favourite songs and this turned into a fully collaborative set and the releasing of an EP together in 2022.
