This Machine Kills Wasps returns and we’ve got another ludicrous lineup of alternative comedy and music.
Headlining this super show is Brighton legend Jason Pegg, who some of you might remember as the singer and songwriter in Clearlake. Clearlake did three incredible albums, full of shade and light and imaginary places just off the coast. This is Jason’s first time getting these songs out of the locker in MANY YEARS and we’re super honoured to be having him.
The Highchurches are fresh from their debut gig at the last TMKW, and might have written some new songs and even acquired a bassist by June.
Blank Peng is one of the funniest standup comedians on the circuit at present, and will soon be playing massive arenas full of adoring fans, like the Gladiators on BBC1’s “Gladiators”.
Clown and moustache-wearer Rob Duncan is 1/2 of fabulous weirdos The Duncan Brothers, whose work with or without Julia Masli has been hilarious to behold. Super excited to see what he does; expect the unexpected.
Jamie Mykaela is a multi-disciplinary idiot from Australia. She is a classically trained musician whose career has ranged from dingy comedy rooms, Spiegeltents across the world, childrens' entertainment, and erotic puppetry. Which of these will she bring to This Machine Kills Wasps? We really don’t mind tbh.
Bar the venue hire fee, all the monies you pay for this show goes DIRECTLY to the artists, so please do pay what you can. If you’re feeling especially skint, get in touch and we’ll see what we can do. But we think the cost of 1.5 beers is reasonable for all the fun you’re going to have.
Lineup subject to change.
