The Rye Sisters
"Reviewed by Americana UK Magazine on in April 2023, when supporting The Mammals, The Rye Sisters were praised for their 'simply exquisite harmonies' (Graeme Tait, 17/04/23). The Rye Sisters are a duo from Lincolnshire who write and perform Americana and folk-country songs in close harmony to guitar and fiddle. They pull from broadly American influences, such as The Secret Sisters, Gillian Welch, Sarah Jarosz, The Small Glories and The Chicks. They have British influences too, such as Kirsty MacColl and Nancy Kerr. Their new (second) album, ‘Distant Light’ was released in December 2023."
Julia Waldron
Warm, bright, sassy - and as down to earth as they come, Julia combines passionate songwriting, chocolatey warm vocals, lively acoustic guitar and a bold, comedic style in her performance.
Julia’s song writing is deeply rooted in human experience, exploring themes of love, loss, laughter, and the complexities of navigating life’s ups and downs. Her lyrics carry messages of hope, resilience, and the power of unity, reflecting her belief in the power of music as a force for good.
