P | Saturday 1st June, 2024 |
N | 7:30pm |
An evening of live music from two acclaimed musicians; Bryony Afferson, singer and guitarist with Troubadour Rose ( The Observer 4***)
Afferson cites key influences as PJ Harvey and Fleetwood Mac and says, “I’ve always strived to have a sense of optimism even in the darkest places, when the songs are at their lowest ebb I aim for an underlying feeling of hope.”
Duotone is the alias for Cellist / Composer Barney Morse-Brown. An acclaimed musician known for his masterful use of live looping and effects. Originally trained in
baroque performance Morse-brown’s inventive and playful approach merges the voice of the cello with electronics. Spanning classical music, new classical, folk and
electronica. He has written and produced 6 albums and 3 ep’s. His compositions explore the ephemeral otherworldly experiences of life and death, often working with
themes of loss, longing, loneliness and the fragility of life.
An opportunity to witness live music from two of Oxfordshire's finest musicians.
