Event information
Thornton Hough Village Club presents Horse (trio).
The iconic singer songwriter takes to the road once more, armed with her 8th Studio album ‘The Road Less Travelled’. A collection of 12 powerful songs packing a real punch, it runs the gamut of every emotion; from the raging banger Leaving, to the anthemic Superpower, to the exquisite and fragile beauty that is The Moon and I. Horse has poured her very soul into this album.
Horse’s path has indeed been one less travelled. The title is a perfect fit as it symbolises being on an unconventional or more challenging path in life. She celebrates individuality and the boldness to forge one's own path. Her music is her voice and by using it, has also become a conduit for those listening.
This will be a trio performance featuring songs from the new album and celebrated back catalogue.
Support comes from Kirsten Adamson, daughter of rock legend Stuart Adamson (Big Country, Skids). Kirsten summons the same heart-stopping purity as Sandy Denny, by way of Emmylou Harris and Kate Bush. Since spending summers soaking up the atmosphere in Nashville with her dad, and singing on Big Country’s Driving To Damascus album, Kirsten has been steadily developing her own voice and songwriting, with indie folkers Aberfeldy, country rockers The Gillyflowers and Americana duo The Marriage.
