The Tipi Sessions. A brand new monthly summer series of incredible live music from seriously good artists. All taking place inside the beautiful Tipi at The Spire & Spoke, Watlington.
For our opening night we’re thrilled to welcome the utterly incredible Maimuna Memon.
Maimuna is a British actress, singer, composer, and playwright who received an Olivier nomination for her role in Richard Hawley's critically acclaimed musical Standing at the Skys Edge.
She began releasing her own music in 2022, beginning with the singles "First Born Child" and "Calling". Her one-woman play Manic Street Creature premiered at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it won a Fringe First Award, before having a London run at Southwark Playhouse in 2023. She also composed a score for Henry VIII at Shakespeare's Globe and in 2023 composed the score for Portia Coughlan at The Almeida Theatre.

Her voice and her artistry are truly ground breaking and we’re very excited to be bringing her and her music to our very first Tipi Session!
