This will be an evening reminiscent of this iconic venue's past, filled with squealing guitars and thundering drums, dynamic vocals and rumbling bass.
Headliners Phantom Booth
A London based 3-piece band, characterised by bewitching guitar riffs, narrative lyrics and hypnotic groove. Phantom Booth’s gene-morphing sound is a product of their classical training and commitment to being a self produced band, weaving social commentary with supernatural fantasy.
Support - Puma Theory
Hailing from Reading, Puma Theory are a raucous live act serving up melodic hooks with a big impact. Through the release of their debut track, Hit & Run, Puma Theory have firmly established a fanbase in their hometown of Reading. Having spent a large chunk of 2023 in the studio, the band are set to share a string of new releases and play new towns and cities around the UK in 2024.
The Venue - Hope and Anchor
"Everybody who was anybody passed through these doors in the 'Seventies and 'Eighties: The Clash, The Cure, The Jam, The Police, Dire Straits, The Specials, The Stranglers, The Damned, Dr Feelgood, X-Ray Specs, Eurythmics, Elvis Costello and Madness to name just a few! U2 (famously in front of 8 people) and Joy Division (tragic frontman Ian Curtis having his first epileptic fit as he returned home from the gig), both had their debut London shows here!!"
For the mods and rockers of London town, this is not a gig to miss!
