Storm Deva combines rock, classical, folk and world influences, producing a set of unique songs with lyrics rich in natural imagery.
The band is composer/singer/pianist Carollyn Eden and guitarist Stuart Clark. First meeting in 2012, they discovered their shared passion for music and the natural world but it was only in 2017 after performing two of Carollyn’s songs together at the Spice of Life, Leicester Square, that they made the decision to form a band.

Carollyn had already chosen the name Storm Deva, after the elemental spirits that do the wind god’s bidding.

Working together, they began to search for the sound world that best expressed their love of classical, rock, folk and world influences and would bring each song fully alive. After much experimentation, the rich harmonic world of classical music took shape around a solid core that beats with a rock heart. The final touch was to combine these strong elements with a subtle blend of folk and world music to create the sound of Storm Deva.

During this exciting time new songs were also written. For the first time they featured rock guitar from the outset. The Journey was born out of Stuart’s powerful verse guitar riff and Carpe Diem featured a restless guitar riff of his as its opening.

The songs were recorded by a five piece band comprising vocals, piano/keyboards, guitar, cello, bass and drums. For support slots, the songs are brought to life by Carollyn and Stuart in special acoustic arrangements..

Foxpalmer
There’s something about a song that can stop us in our tracks. It might drift out of a radio or be heard in its full glory at a live show, but however you catch it, there’s a connection that means you’re hooked for life, the imprint of those notes and lyrics stamped into your very soul. Foxpalmer has a whole store of such material, their siren song calling to your heart and head until they go around on repeat in your thoughts all day, elegantly firing off your synapses. With a unique mix of rock, Americana style folk and lush indie, theirs is a striking sound, as captivating as it is different.

Having played a long list of dates everywhere from Celtic Connections at Glasgow City Hall to the Dublin Castle, Camden in their native London and with three tours opening for acclaimed duo The Blackheart Orchestra under their belts, the outfit have more than proved themselves as a compelling live act, the spell woven around audiences and their fan base ever expanding. It’s in this arena that they’ve proven their strongest as songs like ‘Forever’ and ‘Wanted’ have struck a chord with anyone who’s ever loved and lost, the lyrics heart breaking and the music sublime. With more dates lined up and new material flowing out all the time, it looks like Foxpalmer will be both breaking and mending hearts for a long time to come.

"A strong comparison can be made between Fleetwood Mac and Foxpalmer, sharing in their haunting vocals and catchy guitar lines...I strongly recommend getting this album." The Voice Magazine
“...Fern showed a fantastic voice with some very good acoustic playing reminiscent of Tracey Chapman...” Ravenheart Music Festival review, Fireworks Magazine
“This is a lady with an immense amount of talent”. Garry Foster, WCR FM The Unchained Show
“Full of longing and a barely supressed sensuality, the material cuts to the bone and touches both the soul as well as making you want to move your feet. With a rare intelligence and craft, the band are destined to fill larger and larger halls, buoyed doubtless by plentiful radio plays as they provide a welcome alternative to some of the soulless mass-produced music we’re fed. Your only option is to immerse yourself in their warm and wonderful world.” Breakthrough Acts 2022, Get Ready to Rock website.
