Acts:
ASH GRAY & THE BURNERS (full band)
Ash Gray and The Burners transcend genres and create a sound that takes you on journey into cosmic country, an acid fueled desert road trip. Foot-stomping barnburners to introspective ballads are carefully crafted to take the listener on a profound musical voyage.
As a four piece, Ash Gray And The Burners, has spent the last five years touring the UK and Europe sharing the stages with the likes of The Dead South, Dale Watson, John Craigie, The Goat Roper Rodeo Band and more. The band unites Texan, Ash Gray with his UK roots in Sheffield and uses the new live album, LIVE 55 to show the convergence of Gray with a cast of Sheffield based musicians for a fresh approach to cosmic country sound.
“Exciting cinematic country rock”- Rocking Magpie
"Texas Rock Yorkshire Style!" - Vive Le Rock Mag
"Very Americana gasoline fuelled opiate"- Folking.com
RUSSELL JOSLIN & SARAH MCCAIG (duet)
With a guitar style reminiscent of a grunge-soaked John Fahey moonlighting with the 13th Floor Elevators, plus vocal aims to mix the gravitas of 16 Horsepower’s David Eugene Edwards with the passionate abandon of The Walkmen’s Hamilton Leithauser, London-based Russell Joslin vitiates the singer-songwriter tradition until it sounds as splintered as today’s society.
Since 2015, Russell has been touring the UK and Europe as a stripped back duet with Australian soulmate Sarah McCaig, who progressed from singing musical theatre at the age of three to becoming an integral part of the vibrant Melbourne rock scene. Their voices intertwine to present a turbulent and unforgettable duet which has been remarked upon from Italian mountaintop festival stages to London folk clubs.
‘The musical charge they generated together was truly electrifying’ – The Musicbox Folk
‘Explosive, hard-hitting folk … a much-needed gust of fresh air into the British folk scene’ – Subba-cultcha
‘Living proof of how fresh, vigorous and abrasive an acoustic songwriter can and should be in the 21st Century’ - BBC 6music
PETE GREENWOOD (solo)
"Melodic, beguiling" - The Guardian
Pete Greenwood gained his reputation as a guitarist during his university studies, and an extensive period of gigging in South London. The hours put in and the experience gained landed him tours in The UK, Europe and North America as an in-demand session guitarist. Upon returning to London after a trip to Japan/US with Mojave 3, he found himself with a record contract and an album’s worth of original solo material. 2008 saw the release of his debut album “Sirens”.
Met with critical acclaim, he then juggled projects with The Loose Salute, The See See, and session work for Starsailor, with tours alongside The Magic numbers, Goldfrapp, The Raconteurs and The Brian Jonestown Massacre to name a few. Again, the second album “Beauceron” was written in a similar vein and released after his return to Yorkshire and a break from touring in 2015. After a rekindling of an old friendship with drummer Shaun Farmer and a chance meeting through mutual friends with bassist Dean Roby, “Radio Slow” was recorded in a flurry of activity back in London with producer Sean Read (Manic Street Preachers, Beth Orton, Dexys), and released in 2020. Since then Pete has stockpiled songs to be released in 2024.
