Fortean Times celebrated its 50th Anniversary last November, having been founded as The News by Bob Rickard in 1973. Ian Simmons, FT’s current News Editor, looks back at the magazine’s history, its inspirations, some of the extraordinary characters who made it all possible along the way and a few of his favourite stories from the magazine over the years.
