Chris Dean is a musician/singer who has had an astonishingly successful career in show-business with a lifetime of performing at the top of his profession where he still remains.
From starting his career as lead trombonist at The London Palladium he has worked principally as a session musician and one of the country’s most successful band leaders. He has played on countless film soundtracks including Bond movies, Basic Instinct and Superman.
And he has recorded with a star-studded list of singers, performers and composers including Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, Eric Clapton, Robbie Williams, Westlife, Queen, Wet Wet Wet, Barbara Streisand, Henry Mancini, George Shearing, Nelson Riddle, Sheridan Smith, Michael Bublé and so many more.
Chris Dean is the leader of The Syd Lawrence Orchestra which for 13 consecutive years under Chris’ baton has been voted “The best big band in the land” by members and readers of Big Bands International.
Chris is still in great demand as a session and jazz trombonist and regularly plays and sings with his own jazz quartet.
The band is completed with jazz maestro pianist, Mike Hatchard, George Trebar on bass and Bobby Worth on drums. A morning of outstanding musicianship and good humour.
