CLSW presents a fun programme of music with an American symphonic jazz theme, conducted by Alan Duguid. The concert will feature Gershwin's famous 'Rhapsody in Blue' with piano soloist Stuart Cannon, Rodney Bennett's 'Elegy for Miles Davies' with trumpet soloist Pete Desmond, and Bernstein's popular Candide Overture. Also on the programme is the exhilarating 'Awayday' by Adam Gorb, and 'Chorale and Shaker Dance' by Zdechlik. Completing the programme is Eric Whitacre's bonkers piece 'Godzilla Eats Las Vegas!', featuring players dressed as Elvis and covering about 30 different styles of music. A concert not to miss!
