The Beyond Swing Trio, consisting of Sven Jungbeck (guitar), Fredi Gebhardt (guitar) and Volker Kamp (double bass), is one of the hottest gypsy jazz trios in Germany. With their own compositions and pop adaptations, they have developed their own individual program and their own special sound. Moreover, contrary to the tradition in gypsy jazz, the two guitarists take on equal roles. This creates completely new possibilities for interaction and melodic lines in their own compositions.
Together they recorded the album "Sven Jungbeck Invites", featuring international greats of the genre such as Joscho Stephan and Jimmy Rosenberg as guests. In 2022, the trio played their debut tour of the USA, followed by a tour of England and Poland in 2024.
