Event information
Sweeping The Nation presents... its first standalone gig in (what by the date it happens will be) five years:
SWANSEA SOUND
Hue from the Pooh Sticks, Amelia and Rob from Heavenly, Bob from The Dentists and Ian from a whole bunch of bands, by their powers combined creators of two albums of sardonic takes on the music industry and attendant nostalgia in the classically melodic indiepop setting. We had them here for the Alldayer in 2022 and are more than pleased to welcome them back.
CRUMBS
A Leeds spiky, danceable "sort of post punk indie pop band" and Marc Riley favourites we've been meaning to bring to Leicester for ages and a new album, You’re Just Jealous, on Amelia and Rob's Skep Wax label is as good a reasoning as any.
DAYFLOWER
Fair to call them Leicester scene luminaries? Ten years in and recently reactivated their dreampop scenescapes are leavened with nods to melodic sweetness, lo-fi jangle, Americana and quality soft rock.
