Lonely Tower Film & Media invites you to the first public screening of Iron & Steam - The Dawn of the Stockton and Darlington Railway. The opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway on the morning of the 27th of September 1825 marked the birth of modern railways. Built by George Stephenson, this 26 mile long line in the North East of England was a significant milestone and the beginning of a railway network that would, in a very short space of time, span the world.
