Event information
Carl Stone is one of the pioneers of live computer music, and has used computers in live performance since 1986. He has been hailed by the Village Voice as “the king of sampling.” and “one of the best composers living in (the USA) today.”. With renewed oomph and vigor off the back of his recent run of releases on Unseen Worlds Carl Stone's current mode of feeding pop radio and constant over stimulating retritus through complex samples and pacthes to make ecstatic danceable musics all curtail and overlap in on each other before giving out to lush focused moves through a singular sound is one of a kind. Was a complete party last time he played at Wharf and happy to have him back!
Geo are one of the finest purveyors of the European model of postpunk. Forget your macho sprechensung britpop 2.0 bollocks on radio 6, instead enjoy flailed spiky guitar jabs, shuffling nonlinear rhythms and yips and yelps from the anxious inner core
Seraphim Blush is the finely honed emmergence from the constant investigative mind. Beautifully collaging crisp digital process with tape huff and delicate object tinkerings into cohesive moving pieces. This isn't just a "here's all my toys" soundwork showcase, instead let it lift you where you need to be buddy!
Wharf Chambers is a members club. Please ensure you and attendees sign up for membership. It’s £2 for the year. Attendees can register in advance here: https://www.wharfchambers.org/ or at the bar at Wharf Chambers
