We are delighted to welcome Northern Ireland alt-folk supergroup The Breeze back to Great Easton after a triumphant first visit last autumn.
The group's members - Stevie Scullion (Malojian), Decky McManus (The Basement), Chris Coll (Lost In The Fog) and Lee Martin (Blue Stragglers) - have pooled their considerable musical and songwriting talents to create a folk/indie/country-adjacent sound that isn't dominated by any one of the musicians.
They released their debut album Thin Ground earlier this year, but such is their creativity that they are already in the studio recording album number two.
“The sound of the Beach Boys and Tom Waits heading off on holiday together. Truly delightful and mesmerising.” – The Ulster Herald.
“Excellent – a catchy, countrified rock and roll delight” – The Irish Times.
Stephen Tanner is a singer-songwriter based in South Lincolnshire. His main influences are songwriters like Jason Isbell, Ryan Adams and Frank Turner. He has played in several bands across the years but now performs entirely his own music and has received great responses from his work. His debut album ‘The Sound of the Unlocking’ was released in 2019 and put his music on the map with many radio shows and stations including dozens of plays on BBC Introducing. He continues to put new music out regularly and his second full studio album 'Enough' was released in July 2022. Whether performing solo or with his band, the catchy melodies and dynamic playing will leave his songs lurking in your mind for a long time after.
