F.. O. Machete
F.O. Machete are back. The duo of Natasha Noramly (bass & vocals) and Paul Mellon (guitar & vocals) formed in 2003 in Glasgow. Their debut album My First Machete was released on Lost Dog Recordings. After years of headline tours, high profile shows and festivals around the UK & Europe - Natasha moved to LA and in 2011 the band went on a long hiatus. In 2023 Natasha returned to Glasgow and F. O. Machete reformed. New single Confetti Crown came out on 26th April (lots of airplay on Radio Scotland and beyond) with a new album ser for release in 2025 on Last Night From Glasgow label. (its a great honour for IMP to have then play one of our shows)

I was fortunate enough to witness the comeback of F.O. Machete at The Hedrons album release gig in Room 2, now they’re really BACK with this impressive single, Confetti Crown which sounds like the bastard child of Throwing Muses, Pixies and Stereolab injected with a dose of steroids to create a gargantuan bass heavy, crunching shoegaze guitar anthem. Epic.
Their second single"Kicking Up Dust" from their new album débuted in the last couple of days and has quite a lot of people excited and we can hear the Breeders somewhere about...

Saw these guys opening for Depeche Choad last year and noted how refreshingly good they were, as well as having some terrific interaction within and as with their audience. We think they make a perfect set the scene for our headliner..

What can we say about this amazing local electronic artist whose last IMP set completely floored everyone that came early for the PSYDOLL/Depeche Choad gig in 2023. It has to be said "expect the unexpected" with any of Tony's sets...
