Zaffar Kunial lives in Hebden Bridge. His debut collection Us was shortlisted for a number of prizes, including the T. S. Eliot prize. His latest collection, England’s Green, was published in 2022 and was also shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot Prize and received a Poetry Book Society Recommendation.
Steve Ely teaches creative writing at the University of Huddersfield and is Director of the Ted Hughes Network. He has written twelve books or pamphlets of poetry, the most recently Eely (2024), Lives of British Shrews (2023), The European Eel (2021) and Lecto Violant (2021).
Both poets will be reading a selection of their poems and will share the inspiration and stories behind them.
Concessionary rate applies to young people under 25, older people 60+, adults not currently in work and to members of the Elmet Trust.
