The Ides of Sedition have their roots in the British Punk Rock explosion of 1977. Original member of the seminal punk band Chelsea, Chris Bashford, has now joined forces with keyboardist / producer Caralinda Booth (Shakespears Sister, Thompson Twins, Deborah Harry, The Monochrome Set), bassist John Forrester (The Colour Mary, Nozzle), and drummer Joe Breban (Andy Taylor from Duran Duran and The Fab Beatles) to form a new band - The Ides of Sedition.
To many fans, musicians and music historians, Chelsea are considered to be equally as influential as the Clash and The Sex Pistols. Along with exciting new original material, The Ides’ live set includes classic songs from the debut 1979 album “Chelsea”, plus singles from the “Alternative Hits” album - punk rock anthems bristling with melodies and underpinned with an energy that’s as important now as it ever was.

With an impressive legacy, The Ides bring together a wide range of musical influences from classy pop, metal, rootsy folk, and of course, UK punk, creating new songs and music that is relevant, unique and special.

The Vulz – Heartbreakers and Clash vibes permeate this low slung, rock and roll rendering of punky passion.
