Every First Sunday morning of the month is the Shoreham jazz treat.
Sunday 1st September features Andy Panayi, a supremely talented saxophonist/flautist, performer, composer, arranger. One of the country’s leading jazz musicians who has played with many internationally famous jazz musicians and groups including Abdulla Ibrahim (Dollar Brand), Freddie Hubbard, Phil Woods, Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Centre Jazz Orchestra, Joe Lovano, Roy Hargrove, Louie Bellson, Ed Thigpen, The Moscow City Ballet, Ronnie Scott & his Side-men, and so many more. And the singers he has played for include Shirley Bassey, Jessye Norman, Paul McCartney, Seth MacFarlane, Elaine Paige, Salena Jones, Elvis Costello, and Georgie Fame. It is an honour to have Andy play in this Shoreham jazz breakfast.
Accompanying this month is Dominic Ashworth a superb jazz guitarist, Paul Morgan top bass player, and multi-talented Mike Hatchard, jazz keyboard maestro violinist and great host of jazz events.
As always it will be a morning of outstanding musicianship and good humour in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of The Harbour Club (Harbour Way, BN43 5HG)
11.00 am to 1.00 pm. Tickets £15 (Harbour Club members £12) (no online booking fee)
Free car park at the venue and lift/wheelchair access. The club has a licensed bar and a restaurant.
Club members buying at discounted price may need to show membership card on arrival.
